Accessibility Consulting

For over ten years I have been working with and within the Deaf Community. Frequently these hard working yet marginalized members of all professions are forced to become ambassadors for their own access and well being. Every industry has lagged behind in filling this need.

My Approach

A hallmark of my method is meeting those access needs before they are ever an issue. I implement the necessary changes prior to interviews, appointments, rehearsals, meetings, you name it. Whether these interactions occur in personal or in virtual spaces I take an active approach. I alleviate this workload from the Deaf individual so they can do their real work, unburdened, like every other member of their profession.

As an accessibility, inclusion and equity supporter I am a proactive consultant to any industry or profession. But nobody knows their own needs better than themselves. Therefore, I always take my approach from the viewpoint of the Deaf or hard of hearing individual. Through countless conversations with these stakeholders, I have gained the experience to facilitate interactions between the Deaf and hearing more seamlessly. Thus, creating a work environment that is both equitable and accessible from the onset.
